Baroque Legacy by Elim van Delft
This special concert presents a powerful reflection on heritage, voice, and the flow of time - through the music of Henry Purcell and Antonio Vivaldi, two composers who profoundly shaped the Baroque period.
Yet this journey is not only musical but also narrative, with voice-over segments by Karin Bloemen as Mary II Stuart and Bernard Oattes as narrator - guiding the audience through the history and significance of Dutch influence that so deeply shaped this movement.
Accompanied by the Belgian ensemble La Chapelle Sauvage, led by Karel De Wilde, Elim van Delft brings the past breathtakingly to life with an impressively colourful vocal performance as sopranist and bass.
